VIGMUN VIII Secretariat

Secretary General

Lukas Barragan is a fourth year at the University of Virginia, majoring in Foreign Affairs. After participating in VIGMUN VIII last year, Lukas was excited to be given the opportunity to serve as the Secretary General for this year’s VIGMUN IX. Along with this position, he has been a member of VIGMUN’s parent organization, the International Relations Organization, since the fall of 2022. In that time, he has served in the IRO’s model UN travel team as well as staffed committees for UVA’s other MUN conferences, VAMUN and VICS. Outside of IRO, Lukas works as a part-time medical transporter for the UVA Hospital Center, and he is an active member of both the Jefferson and Washington debating societies. In his free time, you can find him either reading or going for runs across UVA Grounds. Lukas can’t wait to welcome everyone to UVA this February for what is sure to be another great VIGMUN conference!

Should you have any questions about the conference, please feel free to email him at leb8yr@virginia.edu
