Letter from the Secretary General

Hello everyone, and welcome to the ninth annual Virginia Inter-Generational Model United Nations conference! I am very excited for you all to come to the University of Virginia for a day full of debate, collaboration, and discourse on February 10th, 2024. As the only inter-generational Model UN conference on the continent, our mission at VIGMUN IX is to hopefully get you all as excited about international relations as we are! This year, we’ll be discussing some of the largest issues surrounding the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and its efforts to provide protection and assistance to those seeking asylum. I am very excited to see how all of you address this topic and come to different solutions throughout the conference.
